Below are links to more SVBB MP3 files that were recorded in 2006. They are home recordings so they aren't as crisp as those on our CD. These MP3's feature three wonderful vocalists that have become important additions to the group. Emily Day has returned to Vermont after spending the past five years in New York City. She has a fantastic voice that we're delighted to have back with the band. Jon Penick joined us for our Barre Homecoming gig. He was up from NYC to star in the Saint Michael's Playhouse production of the Sinatra tribute called "My Way". We think you'll see why he was able to sing with the band - totally unrehearsed. Don Schabner is an incredible guitarist and as this file proves, a great crooner. Hope you enjoy them!
Here are two new MP3 files of The Swingin' Vermont Big Band recorded at the opening night gala of the Stowe Mountain Lodge at Spruce Peak. "Come Fly With Me" features Jon Penick singing with the band. "Lullaby of Birdland" features solos from Chris Gribnau on Trumpet, Peter Giancola on Alto Sax and Rich Magnuson on Drums. The songs are going to be part of a brand new SVBB CD due out later this year. Keep your eyes open for it!
